Who ?

BERT STEPHANI is an internationally known professional photographer, mostly known for his creative portraiture, commercial work and his lighting style. Bert is also a passionate teacher who’s frequently asked to conduct workshops, seminars and lectures in Belgium and the rest of Europe. Bert doesn’t believe in ’secrets’ and is always willing to share everything he knows.

What ?
The title says it all, by the end of this one day workshop you’ll say “I’ve seen the light”. We’ll start by explaining the basics of light. No need for complicated formulas, we’ll make sure that you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to understand how light works.
Bert will then show you how you can uses your new knowledge of light into the real world. Together we will try out different lighting setups with just about any possible light source: the sun, speedlights, studiolights, work light, …
By the end of this day you’ll be able to see, bend and make the light that you want.
This workshop is limited to 15 people to ensure a very personal experience and it will be in English unless we only have Dutch speaking participants.

This workshop is for everyone who wants to get better in what photography is really about: writing with light. With good basic knowledge about things like shutterspeed, aperture and your camera’s settings, you’ll get the most out of this workshop.
