I really enjoyed this video (among the others). I have to agree with Tom though - the girl seems to be flirting with the camera a lot. For me it’s almost as if the girl would rather marry the photographer Is there a special feel you’re going after when taking shots where the girl looks at the camera, but the guy doesn’t?

… I watched both this video and others on this site, you guys are doing a great job in sharing your experience with us “pilgrims” of photography ^______^ - Pieter, your shooting with this young couple was really good material, you made them look so fresh and lively - and you hadn’t even some Sun to work with! @Koen : no, I don’t tell them how to dress. Most girls will make damn sure their bf looks at his very best, and so will they

@Tom : most of the time I only use my 70-200, sometimes I switch to a wide angle, but that’s about it. Interaction is waaaaaay more important than the gear you are carrying around. Most of the time it’s just in your way anyway …

@Greg thx for the videographer comment, I’m sure Bert loves to hear that

@Bryce Bert did the filming, I edited it Concerning the pics with or without sunbounce, I’ll search around if I have any, otherwise I’ll take some on the next shoot so you have a comparison

@Dea we are looking into it, thanks for your suggestion !

@Tanya yeah you might feel silly, but remember that the couple probably feels even “sillier”. If you do it first, they’ll feel a lot more at ease AND they know exactly what you want them to do, so they are no longer wondering what it is you want them to do

@Elja the bokeh of the 70-200 is only rivaled by my 35 F1.4L. It is just an amazing lense, I use it on every shoot !

Excellent video, just goes to show that you can get great images anywhere. Great interaction with the couple too.
