Whow!!
Thanks a lot for this very good video. The pictures are interesting. The sunbounce sees to give great result, especially when the couple just maintain it in front of them.
Have a nice week-end!
Hello,
This is very great, I love this work of you. The picture are so great whit naturel light. The colours are very beautiful and cool. Whit this light it are great pictures. I can’t wait on the new movie about this fotografie. Hopefully it wil be soon on your website.
Lime is very great, i learn many times more than in trhee years reading about fotografie.
greets joost
Damn… Pieter be good… great video, very informative, great footage and fantastic images! Each and every one of these have been great so far! Keep them coming!
Cool movie, very usefull.
Also amazing photo’s.
1 question, do u tell them how to dress or how does it go with such a shoot ?
Great work you got there..
very interesting indeed! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
You guys make it seem so simple :-). Hope to remember some of the tips on my next shoot.
As usual the photos are just great and the couple looked great.
Congrats on a excellent work and keep those videos coming
Hi,
cool movie:)
very informative,
Thanks!
what I learned most about this is that you go in with few equipment. you focus more on the
couple and work those perspectives more (with just 1 lens)
great to see you in action. pictures are great as usual, the girl seems to be flirting with the camera a lot … so you do have that zoom lens to compensate!
Every week I look to see what you guys are doing. Your video work is great! I think being a great photographer makes you a great videographer. Keep up the great work!
Great great video. I really enjoyed it (as usual!). Just watching these videos gives me more confidence in my own shooting, and opens my mind to new ideas and ways of working, which is of course what it is all about. Thank you LIME!
Hi
I had lot’s of expectations for this video, and you don’t let me down.
Even in a gray day like this, you manage to pull of some great pictures and poses.
You guys rock.
Keep’em coming.
Great video, looks like you have a lot of fun on your shoots. Really good tips as well, and excellent results.
The results obtained with the reflector are amazing! I like it very much!
Thank you Pieter for the video!
Teo
Another very awesome video! I love LIME more and more each week. The longer these videos get, the better (within reason, of course). I especially loved the photos with the gold sunbounce, gave a nice warm feeling to the couple. Any chance of seeing some photos with/without the gold/sunbounce/etc. ? If you don’t have any now, maybe keep that in mind, it would be very helpful I think, to see the difference it makes.
@Greg — Not sure who did the editing on this, but I believe in one of the podcasts Bert said he used to be involved with a lot of video stuff, and I think it shows if that is true.
Hi,
First of all, thanks for the great job ! I’ve been following you on itunes. But why don’t you get your videos on itunes podcast ? It would be really great !
Thanks again and keep up the good work !
Another excellent video…simple effective tips and great results!!!
I like to join Tom in his explanantion: 1 body, 1 lens, 1 couple… and that’s it. The pictures you show are excellent!
Fantastic video! Thanks for stressing the importance of demonstrating the pose for them… sometimes I feel a little silly doing that, and need encouragement
Pieter
Great video. I like how you explain what you’re doing because it shows in the photos. With the hat on you look like you’re 14 years old. Good stuff!
Really inspiring video Pieter!
I really like these videos where you guys ditch the strobes and only rely on natural light and the basic gear as it is really inspiring to see the results produced.
Keep em coming!
Brilliant video. Your commentary is fantastic. Love the way you work and the pics are amazing. Thanks very much.
Impressive to see you work, Pieter.
Great results and you make it look so easy. I like the way you compose your shots. Nice style. Gotta use my 70-200 more too, the bokeh is great..
Excellent video!
Really solid work and a great teaching tool. I like the fact that you used the sunbounce. I would love to know how many shots did you use it and if you were alone aside from the couple assisting would you use it?
Thanks Steve
Sooo cool….thanks for sharing. The end images are stunning!!!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I finally bought a sunbounce micro-mini, today.
Fantastic pictures… You guys are owesome. Really Thanks a lot for sharing such a great knowlegde. I am waiting for the next video to come
I like this kind of video’s a lot!!! Keep up the ‘good work’
Excellent video, just goes to show that you can get great images anywhere. Great interaction with the couple too.
Superbe!!!!!!! J’adore!!!! Et ce malgré un temps pourri!
This is great, as always! I’ve done about 30 engagement sessions and had to figure out most of these pointers the hard way. I wish I would have seen this 29 sessions ago
Thanks a lot everyone for the really cool comments ! I love it that you love it
@Koen : no, I don’t tell them how to dress. Most girls will make damn sure their bf looks at his very best, and so will they
@Tom : most of the time I only use my 70-200, sometimes I switch to a wide angle, but that’s about it. Interaction is waaaaaay more important than the gear you are carrying around. Most of the time it’s just in your way anyway …
@Greg thx for the videographer comment, I’m sure Bert loves to hear that
@Bryce Bert did the filming, I edited it
Concerning the pics with or without sunbounce, I’ll search around if I have any, otherwise I’ll take some on the next shoot so you have a comparison
@Dea we are looking into it, thanks for your suggestion !
@Tanya yeah you might feel silly, but remember that the couple probably feels even “sillier”. If you do it first, they’ll feel a lot more at ease AND they know exactly what you want them to do, so they are no longer wondering what it is you want them to do
@Jose a 14year old ? I wish …
@Elja the bokeh of the 70-200 is only rivaled by my 35 F1.4L. It is just an amazing lense, I use it on every shoot !
@Nico : you won’t regret the investment !
@Trevor : I always tell my potential customers that you can get great shots even in front of the ugliest wall ever, and that’s the truth
@Bertrand : merci
@Nick : hopefully you’ll find some new stuff in the movie or maybe in the next !
Thank you all for taking the time and posting the comments. I appreciate it very, very much !!
hi pieter,
your photo shoot was great! nice working out with the couple’s perfect angle!
Very nice portraits!! Keep it up!
… I watched both this video and others on this site, you guys are doing a great job in sharing your experience with us “pilgrims” of photography ^______^ - Pieter, your shooting with this young couple was really good material, you made them look so fresh and lively - and you hadn’t even some Sun to work with! Kudos!
I really enjoyed this video (among the others). I have to agree with Tom though - the girl seems to be flirting with the camera a lot. For me it’s almost as if the girl would rather marry the photographer
Is there a special feel you’re going after when taking shots where the girl looks at the camera, but the guy doesn’t?
Awsome video. I took notes on your tips as I have some engagement shoots lined up later this month. Thanks guys. Your site rocks.
GREAT VIDEO!! REALLY HELPFUL!
Now I wish you had a similar video showing how you do a family or children photo shoot, that would be awesome….
THANKS AGAIN
Great video Dieter.
Love the sunbounce… what is the size of the unit you had on this shoot?
Thanks again for sharing your thought and techniques. Great work!
