Who ?

BERT STEPHANI is an internationally known professional photographer, mostly known for his creative portraiture, commercial work and his lighting style. Bert is also a passionate teacher who’s frequently asked to conduct workshops, seminars and lectures in Belgium and the rest of Europe. Bert doesn’t believe in ’secrets’ and is always willing to share everything he knows.

What ?
Lighting on location by mixing natural light with off-camera flash and light modifiers can be overwhelming at times. When to use what? Why isn’t this working? How do I turn a boring scene into a nice picture? YOU are going to seek the answers to those questions with the help of the other participants. Bert will provide you with guidance, assignments and tons of tips and tricks to improve your pictures. This shooting session is limited to four photographers to ensure substantial shooting time for each participant. We’ll be shooting a model, so you can concentrate on getting the pictures. By the end of the day you will be confident in mixing flash with ambient light on location. You’ll probably have some portfolio pics  in the bag and some new shooting friends too.

For who ?
This is a hands-on shooting session, so you’ll need to be at ease with the basics of photography and your camera but it’s not mandatory to have any prior location lighting experience or lighting gear. This shooting day is for those who want to get started with location lighting or want to take it a step further.
