It took us some time to decide on the winners of the Bounce Competition, LIME organized in association with our friends at California Sunbounce. There were so many good entries that it made judging pretty difficult. We think it’s great that so many of you made the effort to go out and make a video [...]

Bert is currently in Oslo, giving a 2 day workshop there but he managed to get this new video rendered succesfully before he stepped on the plane
In this movie you can see how Bert works with his flash on-camera (yes people, that iron socket thingy on top of your camera isn’t only made [...]

LIME is quite a commitment for both Pieter and me. The time and energy we put into our bastard child, becomes a bit too much at times to be honest. But when we hear that we played a small part in the progress of a LIME-reader, we forget about all the late hours and feel [...]

Last weekend you could find me in Austria. It wasn’t really a holiday since we had some big plans : a back country snowboard shoot. No rules, no boundaries, just some personal work to recharge my creative batteries & practise a new type of photography.
Unfortunately the back country part was nearly impossible because [...]

Last week I had to make a corporate group shot for one of my favorite clients. Nothing special except for the fact that I had 800 people in the picture and the room was full of technical challenges.
This is not the most creative picture, but I thought it would be interesting to some of you [...]

Sunday is the big day for me, it’s the première of my Capturing Romance workshop. It’s fully booked so the pressure is on me now to make sure it’ll become a super cool experience for everyone.
For this week’s movie I made another screencast. After my last post-processing screencast quite a few people have [...]

I don’t think my post processing is anything special. Usually I’m very much into “getting it right in camera” and only do post processing for basic adjustments (Lightroom only) and for times when it’s just not possible (or expensive) to do it in camera. But since so many people asked about my post processing work, [...]

While Bert is on his second shooting day in a row, I have the honor & the privilege of presenting you the second part of the real life engagement session I did a while ago with Piet & Tina.
In this second part we did a combination of posed & more spontaneous shots. I hope [...]

By the end of December, we did a quick shoot with Herlinde, the younger sister of my favorite model Erika. It was the first time that she stood in front of a camera but she did really great.

Last Saturday, after many months of preparations, we finally did our first LIME workshop. Ake and Pieter helped me out to get the studio ready for the workshop and apart from the fact that it could have been a bit warmer, I think we managed just fine.
It was a great bunch of people and I [...]
